Tuition, Fees, and Financial Aid

Tuition and Fees

Students in the DNE program complete a prescribed curriculum, which includes both full-time and part-time semesters. Full-time study for graduate students means 8 credit hours a semester.  Anything over 8 credit hours is still considered full-time and is charged at the same rate as 8 hours. Part-time study ranges from 1-7 credit hours and students are charged prorated tuition and fees depending on the number of credits in which they are enrolled.

The College of Nursing has a specific fee structure that includes the University fees as well as a College of Nursing Program Fee. This program fee covers the specialized resources needed to support our immersion-based program.  Since the DNE coursework is offered through distance learning, students enrolled in exclusively online courses do not pay for campus-based services, such as the Student Union Fee. Learning technology fees are required. To access the current tuition table for graduate nursing please visit the Registrar’s Fee Tables.

Students who are employed at the university or Wexner Medical Center at an FTE of 75% or greater and wish to take advantage of the employee tuition assistance program may have additional information and forms to process.  Please visit the HR website or speak with your HR representative for more information.

Financial Aid

To be eligible for financial aid, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 4 credit hours.  Students taking less than 4 credit hours are not eligible for aid.

For information regarding different forms of Financial Aid please visit the Financial Aid section of the Nursing website.

Scholarships

Graduate Associateships

The College of Nursing may employ a limited number graduate students as Graduate Teaching Associates (GTAs) on a yearly basis. Applications are available each spring semester and the most up-to-date information is posted to our website. Students are welcome to explore other graduate associateship opportunities with other departments and areas within the university, however, there is not a centralized location for these opportunities. Students are encouraged to conduct their own search to locate and apply for these opportunities.
