WHAT DO WE TEACH?
Three comprehensive curriculums have been developed to help clients build a safe and nurturing environment for children. Both focus on the primary family care giver and utilize a variety of research-based materials and teaching styles (such as hands-on activities).
Introductory Core Curriculum
-designed to provide basic home safety and resources
Core Curriculum
designed to develop client’s skills in:
- Parenting & Child Development
- Home Sanitation
- Home Safety
- Food & Nutrition
- Money Management
- Development of Personal Resources
- Health & Hygiene
Extended Core Curriculum
-designed for families with multiple dysfunctions or to extend services as requested by clients or caseworkers
The core curriculum (see above) is supplemented with lessons that address specific family needs identified such as co-parenting or parenting children with special needs.
