Joy Adeola is the Supervisor of Nursing Education at the VAMC, Chillicothe Ohio. As the Nursing Education Supervisor, she oversees the new employee orientation program, the new registered nurse transition to practice(RNTTP),and the Nursing Residency program for graduate and undergraduate nursing students. Her key responsibility in this position includes the provision of continued education to nurses to update their skills; designing, implementing, and assessing their educational requirements. Joy also manages and creates exercises for nurses’ professional development. As a lead for the nursing education department, Adeola’s goal is to provide educational training to enhance the careers of nursing staff.

Adeola brings to her position a well-established background in clinical nursing practice. Ms. Adeola completed associate degree in nursing(ADN) in Nigeria before migrating to the US in 1992. Ms. Adeola completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing(BSN) from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and dual master’s degree in Nursing and Health Administration, (MSN/MHAD) from the same institution. She has worked in various clinical settings across the US. Prior to taking on the Nursing Education Supervisor position in 2018, she managed a 40-bed Community Living Centers (CLC) unit for 6yrs in Charlotte NC and 162-bed CLC within the Geriatrics and Extended Care Line, at Chillicothe VAMC, where she currently works.
