2013
Nicole Kraft – Department of Communication – College of Arts & Sciences
Nicole Kraft redesigned her section of COMM 2221, Writing and Editing for News, to incorporate the use of iPads in all aspects of the course. Kraft “flipped” her classroom by providing digital resources to students via iTunes U and iBooks (links below). Students completed and turned in all activities and assignments via an iPad. Kraft helped her students develop the skills necessary for writing, editing, and interviewing for news in today’s ever changing mobile world. Kraft also researched and analyzed the students’ ability to utilize the iPad for their coursework throughout Autumn 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters.
