Project for Life Drawing Class

Here are some pictures of a project I just finished for my life drawing class. The prompt was to create a 3D “drawing” that was on at least two planes, but materials and surfaces we open. My object was a small box/cabinet that I found thrift shopping (it’s about 17 inches tall). I used acrylic paint for everything on the outside and the walls on the inside. For the inside, I collaged watercolor paintings, color pencil drawings on newspaper and pages from old books, and fake flowers.

About Me

Hiya!

I’m Margaret Derrig, welcome to my blog!

I’m a second year at Ohio State majoring in Art Education. I am also studying American Sign Language.

I am from Medina, Ohio. I live with my parents, older sister, younger brother, two pups, and my fish.

This is Gus and Max. They are schnoodles (schnauzer-poodle mix). Gus is the grey one, he is four. Max is the black one with the eyebrows and beard, he is three.

This is my beta fish, Finston. He is named after the musician and banjoist of Mumford and Sons, Winston Marshall.

I love national parks, the sitcom Brooklyn 99, the color yellow, sunsets, reading, and art.
