About Me

Welcome to my webpage! In the fall of 2020 I returned to school to work on my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. The goal was to find ways to help more people struggling with mental illness through expanding my work into research and improving my skills as an instructor. Much of my career has focused on adolescents struggling with suicide and self-injury, where I have worked as a clinician and supervisor. I have also managed Perrysburg Counseling Services, LLC (www.perrysburgcounseling.com) in northwest Ohio for a dozen years now, where I am able to watch clients improve and clinicians grow. I have also taught at the university level for about six years, which has been an unexpected passion, as I never viewed myself as an educator. My newest venture is The Hope Institute (www.thehopeinstitute.net), which is focused on the stabilization of individuals struggling with suicidal ideation.
