Deng, Crystal’s profile

FACTS ABOUT ME!

Hi! My name is Crystal Deng, you can call me Cris. I’m from Shenzhen, China. I just went through my 18 birthday a couple of days ago, So I’m officially 18 now. Being an Arts scholars, I must live in the Baker Hall West. I live in a quad room with other three American girls. The most unfortunate thing is that we have no air conditioner here! But right now, the weather is turning cold so it’s not a big deal. In China, I lived with my mother, my father, my twin sister and my dog. Sweetie is a toy poodle. She has chocolate fur so she is like a cute teddy bear and we love her so much. After talking about my background situation, let me talk about myself. I’m crazy about singing, playing guitar, playing the piano and writing songs. Music is my blood, I cannot live without it. I have a variety of interests: watching Japanese anime, trying different kinds of cuisines and playing basketball. My forever and always motto is: Never give up!

(performed on The Voice of China ‘s final competition stage in Shenzhen)

Triple C : CRYSTAL CARNIVAL CHARITY

I studied in an international high school in Shenzhen, Ivy Elite Education Preparatory School. I set up my own band” Carnival” and I’m the lead singer. All members of our band were passionate about music as I did. We rehearsed every night in the music room and performed in our school’s concert and even outside of our school. Our efforts really gain some success and gradually gain some fame and some fans. We also performed in the charity’s party in order to raise money for the poor children who like music too. I like to use our music to let people enjoy and willing to donate money to the poor children. This is so meaningful to me.

WILD RED OCEAN

Why I choose OSU? I just wanna say: I followed my intuition. Really, I don’t wanna think too much, I just follow my heart and guts to choose. And I love there! There are lots of interesting things here and lots of friendly people. I made lots of friends who have different nationalities. And we learned a lot from each other’s different cultures. I’m major in Theatre in OSU. Actually, before I go to the OSU, I just mainly focus on music and just performed musical “Alice in wonderland” once. So I really don’t have ant acting experience before. But I wanna challenge myself. To do something and to learn something new, that’s the reason why I came to the university. I will try my best to improve my music skills and also my acting skills.

This is me ,a sunshine girl who is passionate about music and all the creating things. I hope we can enjoy our university lives together! Go BUCKS!
