Welcome

It’s no secret that audiences are flocking to online platforms for entertainment and education alike. While Extension has been using online methods to market programs for years, we’ve yet to crack the code on true digital engagement. How can we take advantage of free and low-cost online platforms and tools to reach new and diverse audiences while keeping our current clients engaged?

The Digital Engagement and Innovation Leadership Development program will explore a vast array of digital engagement methods and platforms while sharing best practices for creating and disseminating digital content. Topics include:

  • Design thinking
  • Digital storytelling
  • Social media
  • Accessibility
  • Video production
  • E-newsletters
  • Online evaluations
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Teaching with webinars
  • Podcasting
  • Graphic design

By the end of the year, participants will have developed a comprehensive portfolio of digital content and a digital content strategy that can be employed in their community right away.

This year, we have 28 participants representing 23 county and state offices. Learn more about this year’s participants.
