Our Pediatric Research Team

Amy Darragh, PhD, OTR/L is the director of the Division of Occupational Therapy in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at OSU.  Her pediatric research includes clinical trials in pediatric neurorehabilitation (I-ACQUIRE), leadership of the Pilot Studies Core for the National Pediatric Rehabilitation Resource Center (C-PROGRESS), and the use of virtual technologies for adolescents and young adults with acquired brain injury, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through her research she develops and investigates interventions and virtual technologies for improving health and safety outcomes in both adult and pediatric populations.

 

 

Jennifer Lundine, PhD, CCC-SLP is an Dr. Jennifer Lundine is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at The Ohio State University and is the director of the Childhood Cognition, Communication, and Brain Injury Lab (CABI Lab). Her research focuses on improving gaps in access to and utilization of services designed to support children with ABI and identifying specific approaches that would improve assessment and treatment practices following pediatric ABI. CABI Lab

 

 

Angela Rittler, OTR/L, OTD is a Clinical Research Occupational Therapist. She is the primary treating therapist for IACQUIRE-Columbus, was the primary treating therapist for BabyCHAMP, and was also a treating therapist on CHAMP. She has expertise in pCIMT, using the ACQUIRE approach used in these Phase 2 and 3 Clinical Trials. In addition, she is a core member of the IACQUIRE Assessment Center, where she assists blinded assessors at all 12 sites, supports study coordinators with completion of parent measures, and assesses ongoing reliability of blinded assessors.

Sarah Anderson, OTR/L, OTD is a PhD student in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. Her area of expertise in the use of virtual technologies in rehabilitation, particularly among adolescents and young adults with acquired brain injury and intellectual and developmental disabilities. In August 2020, Dr. Anderson received funding as PI from the Exploratory Research Projects Grant Program at the Center for Injury Research and Policy (CIRP) as Principal Investigator and in 2019 she was awarded a TechHub Student Project Grant for her project the “VR Bus”.

Angela Provenzano is an OTD student currently coordinating the IACQUIRE Parent Council. Ms. Provenzano also was awarded the Alfred E Schweitzer Fellowship for her project supporting kinship caregiving through the Kinship Caregivers Connect (KCC) online support group, which she designed and implemented.
