The main change in this Generation was the shortening of the guides on the left and right of the lift. This change was made in order to fit into the size restraints put forward by OSURED. The turning of the satellite was assigned to the front edge of the back plate instead. The support system attached to the back plate was altered to be thinner and have a larger slot. This was to allow the chain fed around the sprocket wheel to reduce friction, as well the reduce the amount of materials necessary to build the system. A notch was cut in the back plate to allow for more space around the sprocket wheel. A circuit board was added to the robot between the skids to show where future optosensors would be mounted. The bar between the two halves of the skid was removed.
