Established by Ed and Ellen Klopfer in honor of their dog Charlie and in respect for the care she received at the Veterinary Medical Center. This fund is to support second, third and fourth year DVM students in an effort to help expand their veterinary experiential learning experiences. First preference will be given to support domestic learning opportunities for DVM students by providing financial assistance (stipends) to make outside the classroom educational experiences more accessible and affordable.

The awards are for travel in the USA to expand student’s clinical education beyond what they could get at OSU. Applications and awards are managed through the Global Engagement Program.
