South African Wildlife Symposium
We are SYMCO, a student body organisation at the faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Pretoria. Our focus is wildlife veterinary medicine and conservation, as well as sharing the beauty of our wild spaces with others. As a result, for the past 37 years we have co-ordinated a veterinary related wildlife tour across South Africa, which attracts hundreds of eager vet students each year. As an institution for veterinary medicine, we would appreciate your assistance in reaching these very students, who have dreamed of experiencing African wildlife first hand, those who are passionate about conservation and furthering their knowledge on veterinary medicine in the aspects this trip affords. SYMCO is dedicated to providing a holistic experience which not only caters to furthering one’s veterinary knowledge, but also facilitates the building of bonds across borders and relations with other students from all walks of life.
We would like to cordially invite the vet students from The Ohio State University to apply for this life changing symposium. We would appreciate it greatly if you could pass the message on to them. We kindly ask that you share our poster with your students, ideally in the form of a printed poster, attached to a newsletter and mentioned on any relevant interest groups. We would also appreciate it if we can set up a zoom meeting with the students to talk to them about this incredible opportunity, please let us know if this could be arranged.
Please find attached our promotional poster and an explanation on how to apply. For more information, please visit our web page at http://symco.co.za/wp/
We trust that we can rely on your support in helping us present this opportunity to your students.
Kind regards
