Charlie’s Angels

Hi, I’m Charlie (that’s short for Charlotte).

I am a 15-year-old Havanese, but unfortunately, I got cancer and passed recently.

But this is not a story about me but instead, I want to tell you about Charlie’s Angels. Charlie’s Angels is a fund my family created and named after me.

Several years ago, before all this cancer thing happened, my human family started a fund to support the efforts of the dedicated students and doctors at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. All these great people use their special talent to help animals like me, live longer, healthier lives and save us from all kind of bad things, sort of like angles. This fund was a chance for me and my family to give back and help them be better veterinarians, so we called the fund, CHARLIE’S ANGELS.

Charlie’s Angels provides financial support to students to get practical experience outside the classroom. We pay their expenses so they can work with other veterinarians, animal caregivers, zoos, and shelters. This experience gives them the understanding of what new veterinarians may face in their future endeavors, while connecting with alumni and friends of the college.

Charlie’s Angels can help them be better doctors so they can help other animals, just liked they helped me over the last 15 year.
