About Me

Hi! My name is Bryce. I come from Kettering, Ohio which is a suburb in the Dayton area. I have six siblings which has taught me how to be relatively selfless and really good at sharing. I have a basset hound named Copper who is the light of my life, and I am an intense lover of music. I realized that I was interested in pursuing a career immersed in environmental work after I took IB Environmental Systems and Societies at Fairmont High School taught by Emily Newman. Mrs. Newman made me feel very passionately about environmental issues and ever since then I could only see myself doing this. I am so excited to be at OSU, especially in ENR Scholars because I am surrounded by people that feel similarly to the way I feel. I hope to study abroad at least three times while I am here and make changes within the Columbus community as well as gaining knowledge to make changes back home. I hope to also gain a better idea of what exactly I want to do, because as of right now I only know that I would like to change the world.

Regarding my interests, I really love to go on hikes with my dog and hammock. I also love to travel. This past summer I went to Mount Rainier in Washington and it was such an amazing experience. I love being immersed in new places, especially in nature. I also am a huge advocate for sustainability. Last winter, I tried a modified “zero waste” lifestyle, and it was a very interesting experience. I learned a lot about how many things I used to use that I really didn’t need. I believe that my passion for adventure and sustainability is what motivates me, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
