Columbus To-Do List #2

For the second to-do list we went to our group leader Richard’s secret study spot in the basement of Hitchcock. The room was very messy. There were random objects scattered throughout the room such as a badminton set, a projector, and boxes of chalk. In the middle of the room there was a small table and a chair. This is where Richard came to do his studying in peace. He told us that if we ever needed a quiet place to study then we where free to come to his study spot. When we left the room there was a huge wall where people had signed their names in chalk. My group and i proceeded to take turns signing our names with the chalk we had found in the room. that was my favorite part of our little journey in the basement of Hitchcock. I learned that sometimes the best study spots are in the places you least expect them to be. I highly recommend this study spot to anyone that needs it as long as they don’t tell anyone about it because it’s supposed to be a secret.

Artifacts

This is a graphing calculator and I feel it is an accurate representation of myself because I like to think logically whenever I plan things and make decisions. I like to think I’m a straightforward person and I don’t mess around when there are important matters at hand. Calculators always give a straightforward answer right away and I like to think I’m the same way whenever people ask me things. I’m always honest and I’m not afraid to speak my opinions. This specific calculator is important to me because I use it all the time for my math and physics homework. It aids me to solve complex problems that I can’t do in my head.

About Me

My name is Jordi Cuautle and I’m a first-year student at The Ohio State University. I’m majoring in undeclared engineering and I’m part of Morill Scholars, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and Humanitarian Engineering Scholars. I went to William Mason High School and I got a 4.05 GPA and a 31 on the ACT. My favorite food is lasagna, I listen to hip-hop/rap music and I have a passion for soccer. I support Manchester City F.C. and the Mexican National team. I started playing club soccer for Cincinnati United Premier when I was 12 and now I’m on an intramural team at OSU. I was born in Mexico City on January 22nd, 2000 and a couple of months after that my parents and I moved to Mason, Ohio. We lived there for 5 years and then we moved to Puerto Rico for my dad’s job. We lived there for a year and a half before moving back to Mason which is where we’ve lived for the past 13 years. I have a brother and a sister who are 14 and 16. My dad is an electrical engineer at Procter & Gamble and my mom is an accountant. I hope to one day follow in my dad’s footsteps and become an engineer like him one day.
