Trial Post, Trial Comments

Hello and welcome to the class blog for Section Finver! Though you will mostly be participating in small groups of 14-15 students in your discussion posts on Carmen, on the blog, all 60 students in Section Finver will be posting here. When we start posting Context Presentations, you will be welcome to comment on anyone’s post, even if they are not from your usual small group.

For now, please comment on this post with your favorite dance move (and keep it appropriate; this is a public blog!). For your edification, my favorite move is Michael Jackson’s moonwalk, though I’ve never been able to do it successfully.

  1. I think it is called The Floss but I call it The Zipper because my kids, nieces and nephew laugh when I call it that. It requires some multitasking and coordination and I have not figure out how to do it yet. 🙂

  2. For me, I love the Woah dance move the most, one seems like making a circular motion with someone’s arm while following with the rhythm of the song. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

  3. My favorite dance move is “the worm”. It involves moving your entire body freely on the floor in the motions of a worm and it is hilarious!

  4. My favorite dance is the griddy, made famous by Justin Jefferson in the NFL. I personally can’t do the dance, but I think it’s pretty fun to watch a lot of players and people try and fail miserably, as well as watch dudes who can do it and look sweet doing so.

  5. I would have to say my favorite dance right now is Milly Rock. I Milly Rock on any block. This dance move is pretty simple, so I recommend it for anyone out there, no matter your dance skills. All you have to do is move your arms across the front of your body from left to right.

  6. My favorite dance move right now is “the shoot”. I first saw the dance on Tik Tok and thought it was really funny. The move involves jumping on one foot while pumping your arm simultaneously.

  10. Hi! Although I cannot dance to save my life, I love to do the running man and the wave. They are always my go to dance moves!

  11. My favorite dance would have to be the Macarena due to it being relatively easy and can be done simultaneously by multiple people at the same time. It was always a super popular dance at large gatherings like weddings that I previously went to, so I picked it up pretty quick. Along with this, it is pretty catchy and easy to remember the moves to as well.

  12. I don’t really have a favorite dance move but any type of nice movement that flows with the music is pleasing to watch.

  14. My favorite dance move is ballet because I think ballet is a very elegant dance style that can show the beauty of the body’s lines. I enjoy it every time I watch ballet. Both the music and the dancers are very beautiful.

  15. My favorite dance move is ballet because ballet is elegant and makes me feel relaxed. I enjoy it every time I watch ballet. Both the music and the dancers are very beautiful.

  16. I think my favorite dance move would have to be the dougie. I was first exposed to it a while back and it always put me in a good mood, which I think is the most important aspect of a dance move!
