Announcing the 2018-19 T-shirt Design Competition

It’s almost time for classes to start again, and that means now is the time to design this year’s CRPSA t-shirt!

Each year we hold a contest to design our organiztion’s t-shirts. The winner will receive free CRPSA membership for the year along with the pleasure of seeing your classmates wear your design all around Knowlton Hall.

If you are interested in submitting a design, please follow the guidelines below and upload your submission via the form. The contest deadline is September 14th at 11:59pm. Designs will be voted on by the CRPSA Executive Board and the winning design will be announced on the website.

Contest Guidelines

General:

  • Deadline: September 14th at 11:59pm (submitted via the form below or emailed to osucrpsa@gmail.com)
  • Competition open to all City and Regional Planning graduate and undergraduate students (majors and minors)
  • Include your name, class standing, contact info, and any information regarding your design in your email submission.

Design Details & Guidelines:

  • Required: Vector design
  • Required: Year incorporated into design
  • Required: Design on front of shirt only
  • Required: Limit design to one or two colors
  • Recommended: Ability to format into ai, pdf, psd, and/or esp.

Winning Design:

  • Is placed on the CRPSA 2018-19 t-shirt
  • Receives free 2017/2018 membership ($30 value)
  • Receives two CRPSA Bucks

Following elections by CRPSA members, we’d like to welcome the newest members of the CRPSA executive board!

We’re very pleased to have them join the board and get started planning exciting events for the year. The student representatives are your advocates within CRPSA, so please feel free to reach out to them with any ideas, questions or thoughts you may have.

Design the 2017-2018 CRPSA T-shirt

Each year we hold a contest to design our beautiful t-shirts. The winner will receive free CRPSA membership for the year, along with the pleasure of seeing your classmates wear your design all around Knowlton Hall.

If you are interested in submitting a design, please follow the guidelines below. The contest deadline is Saturday, August 19th by midnight. During the first week of school your classmates will vote on the final design, and the winner will be announced at our Welcome Back Party at the end of Welcome Week (more details on that soon!). We can’t wait to see your designs!

Congratulations to Nicholas Badman, City and Regional Planning Graduate student, for his winning submission to the 2016 t-shirt design competition!

It’s that time of year again to get creative!  The Design Competition for the 2016/2017 CRPSA t-shirt has begun.  Entries are due August 13th and the top voted design will be sported around by CRPSA members in Knowlton Hall and beyond.  Please see below for design specifics.  We look forward to seeing your creations.

2015 CRPSA TSHIRT DESIGN COMPETITION

Do you want to use a bit of summer to do something fun and productive? Do you want your original design to be sported about in Knowlton and beyond? How about freshening up your Adobe Illustrator skills before school starts?

DO YOU WANT TO BE A WINNER?!?!

The 2015/2016 CRPSA T-shirts are open to YOUR creation!  All CRP students are eligible. Create and submit your design by August 15th.  We will assemble the entries and create an online poll to vote on our favorites during the first week of school.  The winner will be announced during our CRPSA Welcome Back Party, Friday August 28th. Top three designs will be featured here on the website, and the winning design will make the front of the 2015/2016 CRPSA T-shirts.

Design Competition Details
  • Winner gets
    • Free CRPSA 2015/2016 Membership ($30 value)
    • 2 CRPSA Bucks ($20-$100 value based on past years)
    • Your design placed on the front of the t-shirts to be given out to all 2015/2016 CRPSA members
  • Top three designs will be featured on the website
  • Submissions open to all CRP students: grad, undergrad, major and minor
  • Designed with a friend? No worries! You can split the winnings!
  • Deadline to submit
    •  Saturday, August 15, Midnight
  • Voting open to all CRP students
    • August 24-27th
  • Winner announced

  • Design guidelines and details
    • Required: vector design
    • Required: year incorporated and legible in the design
      • 2015 or 2015/2016 are acceptable
    • Preferred: design following the established color scheme
      • Just look at our logo!
    • Highly reccommended: Adobe Illustrator file format
      • We haven’t chosen a printer yet.  Files that cannot be converted to their requirements, if necessary, will be disqualified
      • Likely printer file requirements are jpg, png, or esp, depending on complexity of image (ai can convert to any of these)
      • Prompt communication from winner via text or email required the week we are in process of ordering, if necessary, for file changes or etc.
    • Like last year, the t-shirts will be dark gray with the CRPSA logo on the back.  The winning design will be placed on the front of the t-shirts.  The exec board reserves the right to change and/or disqualify designs that will not work with a dark gray background.
      • If you have not seen them, Arin has lots of shirts from last year.  You may have one to compare to while you are designing, just email osucrpsa@gmail.com to inquire.
    • Be creative!  The winning design could be words, images, symbols, or some combination of all three!  It could represent college, students, planning, maps, city of the future, transportation, social justice, housing, Columbus, Ohio State, or anything else that relates to CRPSA and city planning!
