Rationale:

The members of our group chose Crohn’s Disease for a few different reasons: some personal, some professional. Two members have a general interest in the subject matter, one member works with this patient population, one member had a family member that was diagnosed with this disease and finally another member’s son is experiencing several GI issues and will be tested for Crohn’s in October.

We know that in our future practice as family nurse practitioners, we will inevitably have patients that will present with various GI complaints and we will more than likely diagnose Crohn’s with some of them. We
hope that our fellow classmates find our
site to be informative and useful in their
future practice as well.
