Year in Review

This past semester has been a very impactful experience in this chapter of my life. I have become Vice-President of my hall complex, and this has shaped my interests in a large way. I currently am pursuing becoming an RA and hope to achieve that goal next year. I have also become involved in the Pen Pals program, which has influenced my career path. I have preliminarily chosen the path of pediatric anesthesiologist. I hope to one day work in a children’s hospital, helping to further their treatment and education. I am continuing to be a Biological Sciences Scholar and will strive to meet the expectations all throughout my four years at Ohio State.

Resumé

Resume

I was a summer custodian throughout high school and was very involved in music. Being a custodian taught me about organization and cleanliness, while music taught me to follow my passions and be involved in something I care about. I have also been involved in NHS, the OWL program, and am Vice-President of my hall. These have taught me leadership, as well as how to handle stressful situations and how to plan events for my hall council.

Biological Scholars Event

I am a member of the biological scholars flag football team and we are currently undefeated! This picture was taken after our first victory against the business scholars, and shows the cooperation and teamwork we have when we all put our mind to a certain task. (Even flag football!)

Global Awareness: I am considering studying abroad in a later year of college, and potentially going to Spain. I plan on being a doctor and will use that skill to help people around the world of all different cultures.

Original Inquiry: I plan on doing research before applying to medical school. I would like to get involved with research to learn the process, and to get closer to people in the medical field so I can learn about the profession from an experienced point of view.

Academic Enrichment: I am currently taking classes that challenge my skills and plan on continuing a heavy academic rigor throughout college, and eventually going to medical school.

Leadership Development: I am currently Vice-President of the Barrett Nosker Governing Organization and I am applying to become an RA next year. I am building leadership skills that I can use going into my profession and can use to better OSU and campus.

Service Engagement: I have done a lot of community service throughout high school and plan on doing a lot of volunteering in college, preferably at a hospital or medical center.

Artifacts

My artifact is my rainbow shoes. I have chosen them to show my dedication to acceptance and tolerance of others no matter what. They show I am approachable and accept all people without discrimination. I am the Vice-President of Barrett/Nosker Executive Board and wear these shoes whenever I am working. I want to show that even though I am working, I am working for the betterment of all people regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, etc. I will always work for the betterment of all people and truly hope that my artifact will let people know I am someone they can talk to and trust.
