Cooperative Extension is Turning 100

Cooperative Extension is turning 100 year old this year. On May 8th 1914 the Smith-Lever Act was signed “to aid in the diffusing among the people of the United States useful and Practical information on subjects relating to agriculture, uses of solar energy with respects to agriculture, home economics, and rural energy, and to encourage the application of the same”

Rep. Asbury F. Level, South Carolina

Sen. Michael Hoke Smith, Georgia

We would like to take the time over the course of this year to reflect and celebrate all that Extension in Crawford County has done for us as individuals, families, farmers, youth, and the community as a whole. Stay turned for more information and feel free to share everything extension has done for you.
