Exploring Columbus
For my Columbus To-Do assignment, I have chosen to explore the various coffee and tea shops of Columbus. I chose this area of exploration because I love to go to cute coffee shops. They always smell and look wonderful and I love to either do my homework or hang out with friends in the cozy environments. I’m looking forward to finding a local place to spend my time studying for various classes. I love this assignment because it will force me to explore Columbus more, something I have been wanting to do but haven’t done enough.
So far, I have visited Zen Cha Tea Salon, and I am obsessed. I know it is early to say this, but I think it will be my favorite. It’s very close to campus, just a little bit up high street. My friend Reilly and I took the COTA, but the distance is definitely walkable.
We arrived at the shop and I instantly knew I would love it. There were various teas and tea appliances being sold, along with the seating and eating area. There was a menu with pages and pages of tea options and I didn’t know what to get! I have always been obsessed with tea, so the endless options impressed me greatly. I ended up getting a matcha tea latte, with Reilly getting chai.
I’ve had many matcha lattes in my life, but I can say that this one was one of the best. It was so good and I would highly recommend. Next came the food, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that Reilly and I can’t stop talking about it. We both ordered dumpling soup and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Reilly and I expressed our positive emotions about the soup constantly throughout the meal. It was just that good.
After such a positive experience, I am definitely going to give this place many more visits. I will also recommend this place to literally anyone and everyone. I have already recommended it to two friends and my parents. I will definitely be back soon.
