Basic Tech Requirements (recommended)

To meet the requirements of commonly used software and to use the Internet effectively, your computer should meet the minimum hardware requirements recommended by OSU’s IT service desk.

Some courses require the use of specific software. Additional software requirements will be listed in your syllabus or on Carmen, and you can check with your college or degree department to see if there are additional recommendations specific to your line of study.

Mediasite

Mediasite is a streaming video platform used to to record class sessions, presentations, video responses and more, and upload recordings to university servers. Generate recordings using one of two methods: a Desktop Recorder application, or an external media source. Email: mediasite@osu.edu
