Course Description:

Youth are aware of, and interested in, many health-related concerns that impact themselves, their families and their communities. Engaging youth in community-based health promotion efforts can result in impactful change for both the community and the youth. This course will introduce participants to the basic principles of working with youth effectively, including an overview of positive youth development practices and principles, developing youth-adult partnerships, engaging teens as teachers and leaders, and developing youth-led participatory research projects.
