Robert Ashmead, PhD

Instructor Bio:

Dr. Robert Ashmead is a Research Scientist at the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) where he leads the informatics section. His work focuses on statistical methods, survey methodology, and interactive data visualizations.

Dr. Ashmead received his PhD in biostatistics from the Ohio State University in 2014. Prior to joining the GRC in 2019, Robert worked as a Research Mathematical Statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau where he assisted with the design and implementation of the data privacy methods for the 2020 Decennial Census, developed small area estimation models for the Voting Rights Act Section 203 Determinations, and evaluated respondent contact burden in the American Community Survey.
