EAT-GO-DO

So far I have completed my GO portion of this project and this was when my mom and I went to Easton for the first time since I have been up here. Since I’m a freshman and don’t have a car I haven’t had the chance to go see the mall in Easton yet, but my mom came up for a visit last weekend and we decided to go visit the Easton Mall. When we went there we went out to eat at the North Star Cafe, which was very good and then we went to go a few shops around the mall and got some clothes. Overall it was a very good outing for my mom and I.

So far at my time at Ohio State i have joined the jiu jitsu club and have become very active in it and have made alot of friends. This was at a recent get together were we all tried to play pool and I learned that I wasn’t very good at it. We also learned that when taking a picture it helps if everyone knows to make a funny face. My major is still health sciences and i am currently debating if I’m going to keep my minor as biology or change it to sociology. So far I am enjoying my time at OSU!

Career

Hannah Coyne
Final Strategic Life Plan- Class #10701
12/01/15

Through this class I have decided that I am on the right path so far with my major as Health Sciences and I have discovered what I wanted my back up plan to be. I have decided after hearing about various graduate programs that if I don’t get into medical school as planned, I will go into a human anatomy master program and get my masters and possibly later a PhD in human anatomy (if I decide to not re-apply for medical school). The assignments that we did in the scholars class taught me various important things like leaning how to deal with stress. I now know about more resources on campus to help me succeed in my major and more tools using buckeyelink and carmen to keep me on track for graduation.
My plan to stay healthy is to plot out times during the day for homework, working out, extracurricular activities and sleep on a daily basis and then add in things like volunteering and social commitments around my free times I have. If I keep with my plan and don’t get off task easily and take breaks on my actually allotted break times I believe I will be able to stick with it and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I can ask faculty members for possible research opportunities to help me further my career, I can ask upperclassmen for advice about classes to take and good/bad ideas for getting ready for graduate school. Next semester and continuing through my college years I want to be a more studious student and I want to be more involved in volunteer activities along with research. I would also like to compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments more and become more active in the Jiu Jitsu club.

About Me

I love to learn just for the sake of learning and will constantly be trying to understand something if I don’t get it the first time. I love to try new things and learn about the world and different cultures. I take a lot of notes and will write a lot and then re-read and sometimes re-write the notes I take to understand what is being taught. I ask a lot of questions to make sure I am doing my tasks correctly. I took a lot of IB courses in high school so I understand that work has to be put into classes in order to succeed. I would like to get a 4.0 this year but if that isn’t attained I want to at least maintain a 3.7 and above.   I have a pre-med focus and would one day like to become some type of surgeon. My favorite past time activity is Brazilian jiu jitsu. I don’t really have a very recent picture of me doing so this one is from like a year or two ago
