In my first year scholars presentation, I got to research about underwater wind turbines and how the technology has progressed and will progress in the future, as well as assess its viability. It was really interesting to me since energy is one of our greatest issues in contemporary society. Even though it really doesn’t apply to my major, it’s still good to know about some of the forms of energy that may be used in the future. I learned that even though this technology is relatively new, it could become an important source of renewable energy in the coming decade or decades. There are several problems with this technology, but it has great potential and these issues can definitely be resolved, making it a viable and efficient source of green, clean energy.
