Kaila Witkowski is a PhD Candidate at Florida International University. Her research focuses on using mixed-method techniques to improve government action and policy outcomes responding to stigmatized health issues such as opioid abuse and HIV. Using methods such as network analysis, PhotoVoice, and plan quality assessment, she has recently completed projects on engaging long-term HIV survivors in the policymaking process and improving cross-sector collaborations focused on the opioid epidemic.
