Year in Review

My class has had a first year unlike any other. Instead of bright smiling faces of new friends, we saw masks and computer screens. As a result of this, we grew closer and stronger. This year, I met my best friends and proved I’m stronger than I thought. Although it’s been a rough year for everyone, these challenges have tested us and made us rise to the occasion.

Despite the obstacles of the pandemic piled on to the regular troubles of starting college, I have had amazing experiences. The club Medlife has given me a home on their executive board as a fundraiser coordinators, and I’ve found a new family with my friends from Health Science Scholars. I’ve also was still able to see dogs even though mine were at home through volunteering with 4 Paws. This year taught me that resilience and hard work creates outcomes and that if you put your mind to something, you can do it.
