John is currently a Marketing PhD Candidate, specializing in consumer behavior, at The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. John’s research interests include psychological response to promotions, prosocial behaviors, and group and social perception. John was selected as the winner of SCP’s 2020 Dissertation Proposal Competition for his dissertation work on promotions featuring rival groups. His research on consumer perceptions of peer economy brands is forthcoming at the Journal of Marketing. 

John holds a BS in Business Honors, a BSBA in Marketing, and an MBA from Villanova University. Prior to starting the doctoral program at Ohio State, John held various roles in the merchandising groups for a number of large national and international retail brands.
