This is my dream collage assembled from cut up magazines. The whole picture is a bit lucid and ill defined, but that is largely the point. I vaguely remember a dream about a volcano in a desert with a portal in front of it, this is a recreation of that.
Interesting composition Ethan! I think your use of color is great here and adds to the integration/juxtaposition of the source images within the collage. I think that the abstraction of your memory is very appropriate and true it sounds to the story you are trying tell – especially if you have difficulty recalling the specifics of the dream you are drawing from. Abstraction in this case is actually a form of realism! I am interested to see how this translates into your drawing translation this week!
