The Office of Educational Innovation and Scholarship provides SOTLA resources and consultations for faculty members who are interested in educational research in addition to support for writing responses to calls for proposals for conferences and grant applications.

- “The American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (the Journal) is the official scholarly publication of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). Its purpose is to document and advance pharmaceutical education in the United States and internationally.”
- Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning:
- “Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning is devoted to dissemination of high quality, peer-reviewed scholarship relevant to all areas of pharmacy education—promoting educational research excellence. The Journal maintains a particular focus in two major areas: pharmacy faculty development in the scholarship of teaching and learning and the scholarship of interprofessional pharmacy education. With diverse editorial board members, authors, and peer reviewers, the Journal engages a variety of stakeholders in pharmacy education: educators, researchers, faculty practitioners, as well as interprofessional colleagues. Diverse author contributions are within original research, review articles, commentaries, and letters categories.”

- American Journal of Distance Education:
- “The American Journal of Distance Education (AJDE) is internationally recognized as the journal of record of research and scholarship in the field of American distance education. Established in 1987 with the mission of promoting research and disseminating information about distance education in the Americas, AJDE explores topics about all teaching-learning relationships where the actors are geographically separated, and communication takes place through technologies. Past volumes (available online) report on education through radio and television, teleconferences and recordings, printed study guides, and multimedia systems. The principal technology of contemporary distance education is the Internet, and thus most articles now report on online learning.”
- Computers & Education:
- “Aims to increase knowledge and understanding of ways in which digital technology can enhance education, through the publication of high-quality research, which extends theory and practice. The Editors welcome research papers on the pedagogical uses of digital technology, where the focus is broad enough to be of interest to a wider education community.”
- The Journal of Applied Instructional Design:
- “The purpose of this journal is to bridge the gap between theory and practice by providing reflective practitioners a means for publishing articles related to the field. The proposed journal will establish and maintain a scholarly standard with the appropriate rigor for articles based on design and development projects. Articles might include evaluation reports (summative and formative), lessons learned, design and development approaches, as well as applied research. The articles will be based on design and development projects as opposed to pure research projects and focus on lessons learned and how to improve the instructional design process. Rigor will be established through articles grounded in research and theory.”
- TechTrends:
