Final Friday July 31, 2015: Celebrate the Arts, Quilt Show & History Tour. Walk around downtown and see the work of over 30 local artists, musicians & authors!! Map with details at INFORMATION TENT on the Square. Quilt Show 2-8 p.m.at First Presbyterian Church. History Tour 5 p.m. Participate in the Architectural Treasure Hunt and have your name placed in a drawing for a painting of 1850’s Newark. The Sparta WILL be open for dinner beginning at 5 pm. Proceeds will benefit the YES for Solar Project to raise funds to place solar panels on the YES Club.
“Celebrate Licking County” Art exhibit at the LC Art Gallery on South Second Street, next to Pugh’s Designer Jewelers where you can stop in and see two Master Goldsmiths show how jewelry is designed and created. Stop in at The Works(5-7pm) to see the opening of “Rhythm of Life” exhibit by Emily Kohser Talbott. Emily uses a unique medium called Eco-Kollage. A Longaberger weaver will be demonstrating for Final Friday visitors to downtown Newark. Newark’s historical jail will be open for tours 5-8 pm.
WCLT’s Mega Thunder will be joining us again! Located on North Park Place, Mega Thunder will be the back drop for the new version of the movie “Annie” which will begin shortly after 8 pm.
Impact Martial Arts is providing the Bounce House again which will be staffed by Little Arrows Play Cafe. Raffle tickets available for a Longaberger basket filled with surprises and also the monthly 50-50 raffle.
