Costa Rica 2015Costa Rica course: Spanish 2798 (1 credit), Aug. 8-16

Deadline to apply: Feb. 1 (this is a firm deadline—don’t miss it).

Prerequisites: Either Span 1103 (4 credits) or Span 2194 (1 credit) to be taken during summer session 2015, June 15-July 30. Span 1103 meets MWF and Span 2194 meets on Wednesdays only, 12:40-2:30.

Students accepted into the program will be enrolled for Span 2798 (the travel course in August). They are required to also enroll in one of two summer courses on the Newark campus: Span 1103 or Span 2194. Span 2194 is in English and designed to introduce students to Costa Rica and Latin American culture. Span 1103 is the third in the language sequence. We offer 2194 for students who are not ready to take 1103 (or have already taken it).

To apply: Go to Buckeye Link, and follow the link under Academics to Study Abroad (it will have a dropdown for Information and another for the application). The information link will tell you exactly what you’ll need to apply (short personal statement explaining your interest and your advising report). The application fee of $150 will be refunded if you withdraw before the deadline or if you are not accepted into the program.
