Honors course openings

Dr. Bryant’s Intro to Sociology has spots left. Consider adding this to your schedule to fulfill both the diversity and the GE social science requirements in one course. Her courses are always energetic and engaging.

Soc 1101H: Introduction to Sociology runs Tuesday/Thursdays 2:20-3:40. Class no: 14238.

See my previous post for information on other one-credit, S/U Arts & Sciences course options that still have room for additional students: Dr Ruderman’s course on the Beat writers and Dr. Shiels’ service-learning courses on the Earthworks.

  1. I’m interested in an honors course, but I don’t think there are any honors versions of my courses being offered this semester, at least on the Newark Campus or in a time-slot with my availability.

Will I be able to take a honors course in the Summer Session instead, and apply to the program then? Or must I wait for an additional email (perhaps a computer identifies eligible students and auto-corresponds with them) from the system before applying again?

  2. If you’re interested in Honors, I can review your record and if all is well approve you for Honors immediately, whether or not you can take spring Honors courses. That way you will get one of the major benefits of Honors for summer or next fall–getting priority enrollment. Honors students get the earliest window for enrolling in classes.
