Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness: I feel very that this is an extremely important part of being a well rounded student here at OSU. Students here should strive to learn more about different cultures and diversities through studying abroad, getting involved in cultural or lingual organizations, or even just taking classes to educate yourself on different cultures and ethnicities. I plan on living in Chile this summer to travel and enhance my Spanish skills as well as learn more about the culture.

Original Inquiry: Understanding research processes through academics and extracurriculars is vital to becoming a balanced and successful person in both school and with your career.

Academic Enrichment: Challenging yourself in the classroom is an essential part of becoming a hard worker and achieving the most during your time here at OSU. That also extends past the classroom in your extracurriculars that you choose to participate in and the role that you take in any organizations. I enjoy challenging myself in classes as well as trying to learn as much as I can in other organizations.

Leadership Development: Leadership skills are necessary to meat your goals both academically and career wise. These skills are demonstrated and improved in the classroom as well as other organizations that your choose to be a part of. Being a captain of my cross country team really helped me to learn a lot about inspiring and leading people to reach their highest potential.

Service Engagement: Participating in service is an essential part of what Mount represents and allows you to make a difference in our community. Throughout high school I was extremely involved with service specifically at a local hospital that I volunteered at weekly for several years.

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.   For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. ID Badge for Bethesda North Hospital

My volunteer ID badge for Bethesda North hospital is something that represents my consistent commitment to service throughout high school as well as the high academic achievement that I maintained in order to get the job of being an escort volunteer at that hospital.
