Recently many of my classes have been focusing on communication. In my scholars class we discussed the importance of the way you say the things you do, such as body language and town of voice. In my engineering class we practiced presenting and what a good presentation involves. In my communications class we have been studying the different techniques you can use to communicate a message. Communication is not only essential for everyday life, but also for my academic career. Whether its working with teammates on a projects, giving a presentation, or emailing your professor, what you say and how you say it carry a lot of weight. As shown in the picture ideas can get tangled if the medium they are transported in are messy. As I continue my academic career I will make sure to keep in mind the importance of communication.

Hi! My name is William “Keith” Contrera. I am a first year pre-mechanical engineering student from Akron, OH. I am the youngest of 4 children. I love to build and or deconstruct anything and everything. I also really enjoy the outdoor. A characteristic that I find essential to my identity is my leadership ability. At Ohio State I hope to get into the College of Mechanical Engineering. By the end of my fourth year I hope to have made a lasting impact on this university.
