We will be having a week-long workshop Sept. 10th-15th at OSU (note that this is Monday to Saturday) to finalize the plans for a proposed array with the new collaboration that includes people from ARA, ARIANNA and beyond. We will be in the Physics Research Building (PRB) at 191 W. Woodruff, Columbus. See a list of participants so far, and here is a draft agenda.
We will plan to split the meeting into two parts, the first part (Mon.-Thurs.) focused on analyzers and simulators and the second (Fri. and Sat.) PI-focused (although anyone is free to join any portion of the meeting):
Mon., Sept. 10th – Thurs. Sept. 13th Simulators and analyzers finalize any numbers and plots are still needed for proposal design(s)
Fri. Sept. 14th Summaries from experts in each area of what we know from each area, ideas for the future, design(s) discussed and agreed upon
Sat. Sept. 15th Contributions from each institution (including non-US) agreed upon, proposal work divided
The aim is the get as many facts as we can laid out beforehand and as many decisions as possible made in advance of the meeting so that we can make the best use of our time. Keep those google doc discussions going! Let Amy know if you need the link.
I hope to see you all in Columbus the week of Sept. 10th-15th!

The astronomy department holds its renowned Astro Coffee each morning at 10:30am in the Astronomy Department on the 4th floor of McPherson. If you have any new results that you’d like to present (it’s pretty informal, you would just talk for 10 minutes or so, no slides), that would be great.
