For Dec. 12 discussion, we have chosen a few chapters from Hillner’s book on confinement in late antiquity. The scanned material can be found in “Readings and Discussions.” These chapters are chosen because they engage comparative questions and might be more proper for our interdisciplinary purposes. Please do not feel obliged to read all the chapters for the discussion.
