A global company with more than 18,000 stores, Starbucks is faced with the daunting task of supplying their stores and plants. They are responsible for 70,000 to 80,000 deliveries per week worldwide. Much of the operating expenses are attributed to transportation, distribution, and logistics due to the widespread territory.

Distribution is the one aspect of business that Starbucks has yet to address the impact that their emissions have on the environment. The amount of man-power and vehicles needed for worldwide distribution makes this an almost impossible task. I believe this would be the next step for eco-conscious Starbucks to address by possibly creating an eco-friendly fleet of trains, planes and automobiles to help get their product to market.
