Coffee middleman can be considered a bridge between the coffee producer and coffee consumer.
Speaking of coffee middleman, we have to first introduce “Fair Trade”, a program that make the relationship between coffee consumer and producer in a more equal and meaningful one. However, to the farmers, they living they make usually don’t seem like an equal one in any way. The traditional coffee commodity chain is a fair trade chain. In a fair chain system, middlemen are often the one that try to minimize the payment to coffee farmers they purchase unroasted beans from.
