Description:

Salt mined and extracted is loaded as bulk salt into railroad cars, trucks, river barges or lake boats for later shipment to customers.

Environmental Impact:

This particular transportation method is obviously not the best for the environment. Pollution occurs from the emission of the vehicles when transporting the goods.
