Peer editing is a constructive tool that can be used for any type of writing. Being not so previously exposed to this type of news writing, I am still at the introductory stages toward a journalism career. However, getting my first article done in this class– and what will hopefully be my third article in the Lantern– will provide a strong benchmark for me to look upon when going to my next article. Finding news value and presenting that in the lede is something I still have to work on to master, but I know it will come in time with more practice.
