Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer, navigator, and colonizer. Born in the Republic of Genoa, under the auspices of the Catholic Monarchs of Spainhe completed four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean. Those voyages and his efforts to establish settlements on the island of Hispaniola initiated the permanent European colonization of the New World. ( Wikipedia)

Christopher Columbus is a controvesial person in histroy. Some persons think he is a figure like a the discoverer of the new world and he made a significant impact to the development of the society. But some poeple see him as a evil invader because he and his seamen slaved native people what Columbus called was “indians” and also he brought some diease to ” the new world”.
