Regional boards, coalitions, and other groups that are responsible for coordinating community services can help local organizations overcome collaboration challenges and implement cross-system interventions.

Which regional alignment approaches are most useful for supporting strong collaborations among local organizations? Do we need different approaches in rural and urban communities?

This study investigates the says that regional behavioral health boards (known as Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health, or ADAMH Boards in Ohio) support collaborative partnerships between child welfare agencies and substance use treatment organizations that are implementing Ohio START. We will take what we learn and create tools for leaders in regional/ADAMH boards, and local child welfare and substance use treatment organizations.
