Established in 1993 by Marilyn George, in memory of her brother David. This scholarship is awarded to chemical engineering students who are involved in extracurricular activities at Ohio State or community service.
David was a 1948 graduate of Ohio State, with a degree in chemical engineering. In addition to this scholarship Marilyn also created the David H. George Endowed Chair in Chemical Engineering, which is used to support a chair position for a faculty member in the William G. Lowrie Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering.
