DRUG USE NOTIFICATION FORMS (DUNF’s):
DUNF’s will be completed online this year & must be submitted by the end of the day on Friday, July 23rd.
A completed and approved Drug Use Notification Form (DUNF) MUST be submitted for Junior Fair market steers, market lambs, market hogs, market dairy steers, market goats, lactating dairy cattle, lactating goats, and meat pens of poultry. Rabbits are not required to have a DUNF. Feeder calves only require a DUNF if they are going directly to slaughter from the fairgrounds.
A separate form must be completed for EACH animal. (i.e. If you have a pen of two chickens, each animal will need a DUNF entry.)
Any animal for which there is not a completed DUNF on file will not be permitted to show or sell.
All animals for which DUNFs are submitted must be “drug-free’’ by the TIME OF WEIGH-IN. That is, if an animal has a medication listed on the DUNF for which the withdrawal requirement has not been achieved by weigh-in, then that animal will not be permitted to show or sell, and quarantine arrangements will be decided by the board.
If you are bringing a species that does not get an identification number until check-in at the fair, use the generic code “0000” for each animal. (This will be for Poultry and for Swine.)
