Due May 11–Ag Promotion Contest
Farmers are extremely proud of the work they do to bring food, fuel and fiber to market. But while productivity, science and technology have seen great strides in recent decades, our ability to communicate about farming to the general public has not made similar advances. To help address this communication gap to the public. Crawford and Richland County Farm Bureau are pleased to annouce the 2015 Ag Literacy Challenge.
This contest is open for individuals or groups (4H, FFA, Collegiate Organizations, etc) that think they have the next big idea to connect consumers and farmers. A one page application describing the display, game or interactive activity is all that is needed to participate in the challenge. The winning design will be used at county fairs, field days, 5k runs, and other outreach events. The 10 best selected applications will recieve $25, and the winner will be awarded $300–plus get the opportunity to construct their design and bring their vision to life.
A link to the rules and application form are available here. All entries must be submitted electronically by May 11th.
