WHAT
I was thinking about getting a trip to Red River Gorge in September-ish.
MAPS
Here’s where it is:
ROUTES AND STUFF
They have a wide variety of difficulties and they are clustered pretty close together plus bouldering. Now this won’t be a traditional top rope, but no worries! If I remember right, someone can lead climb up, get the top anchor and then we can top rope after that.
Here are some sites I’ve been going to:
Mountain Project
Red River Climbing Guide
I’m going to procure some books about the area and consult our sage/sifu/cowboy and see what he says.
LODGING
I was planning on camping and being one with nature, but there are cabins there: Red River Gorge Camping/Lodging
DURATION
I’m not entirely sure how long to go for or where our tolerance of each other is at yet…
We can start the bidding at 4 days and see where we go after that. We’d also be in the woods, so you can hermit away if needed.
