Artifacts

My first artifacts to be documanted is my Green Engineering Scholars Agenda book and T-Shirt. The Agenda is a multipurpose agenda that has several different ways to keep track of the events, schedules and hassles of everyday life. The T-Shirt is a baseball style tee where the Green Engineering Scholars logo is on the front. These items are my first documented artifacts because to me, they symbolize the long and arduous road I had to travel to get to where I am now. They remind me that I am a scholars student, and of all the hard work I had to do in high school to make it to OSU and into a scholars program at that. They also remind me of the academic responsibility I have signed up for every day, to continue to pursue academic excellence and to succeed at OSU.

About Me

Hi Everyone, I am Jonathan Parker Clark. I am a Student at The Ohio State University, and am in the Green Engineering Scolars Group. I am from Beavercreek, Ohio down near Dayton. I have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I have three Siblings, two older and one younger. One of my older siblings is also a student here at OSU, the other is an OSU Alumni. My hobbies involve a variety of activities: Hiking, Biking, Camping, watching tv, working out, and playing with my dogs. I worked at a Garden Center for two summers, and was able to earn money while learning about one of my interests: plants! My intended major is Agricultural Engineering, with a specialization in Soil and Water. I chose this major because I am passionate about the world and the condition of the environment and want to help implement technology to help solve the world’s problems. My dream job after achieving this degree is to work for a governmental agency or private engineering consulting firm to help farmers, private land owners, and corporations be more sustainable in their agricultural practices while also integrating new farming techniques. While at OSU I am looking to get involved on campus in clubs that I am passionate about, and currently, I am the president of the Drackett Tower Hall Council, an active member of the Student Farm here on campus  and am also in the process of starting my own club.

Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen.
