Blog 1: Introduction

Hello! My name is Emma Clardy and I am a sophomore in my second semester of the nursing program. I was born in Medina, OH and I’ve lived there my entire life. At home, I live with my mom, my older sister Meagan, and my younger sister Sarah. We have a sweet little cavachon puppy named Harley (after Harley-Davidson) and she’s a ball of chaos. In high school, I was in choir and show choir, and got embarrassingly into it. I was the vice president my senior year and spent most of my time running between the choir room and the track field. I was super passionate about hurdling and ran all four years of high school, three of which were spent with one of my sisters.

My current interests and involvements include Alpha Chi Omega sorority, the Boo Radley Society, reading Harry Potter and Percy Jackson over and over again, and watching all of the marvel movies in chronological order. I would say something I’m most passionate about in life is babies and taking care of them, hence why I want to go into nursing and work in the NICU. I just really want to be there for families and their newborns at the scariest and most vulnerable part of their lives, and hopefully provide the comfort, compassionate, and wisdom that they need to get through something like that with grace.
